Crazy Fragrances

I love all things that smell good. From men to food. If it smells good then I am on it. When I started domesticDEEVAH I was overwhelmed with all the fragrances out there. Those who remember my beginning stages know the ridiculously HUGE list of fragrances I had. I just didn't know which to choose. I mean do you know how hard it was to select 5 fragrances for candles and bath products???? That was torture, but I was given some great advice by a fellow crafter to not bombard my customers with tons of scents, because most times they will not know what to pick and may not pick anything. So I sucked it up and choose five.


During my quest to find unique and wonderful fragrance I came across some that were horrible....like this chocolate fragrance that smelled like sweet butt....NO LIE. If you want to smell it I still have it and will send you a cotton swab of it! LOL But seriously...it really reeked. But then there were other like Asian Plum, Pumpkin Brulee and Femme Fatal.....such unique and wonderful fragrances. But the best fragrance that I have found so far is DIRT.

Yes potting soil...grandma in the garden...kid making mud pies DIRT! Don't think of me as weird ( OK you can) but I LOVE the smell of fresh dirt (not to be confused with filth) there is something fresh and clean smelling about dirt. So I am sure you know I was beyond excited when I found a fragrance oil that smelled like dirt. Could this be true? Does it really smell like dirt? HECK YES!!!! When my order came I could not wait to open the dirt and when I did....OH BABY! When I say this smelled just like fresh potting soil...I mean it. I could not believe it! My co worker asked what was I going to do with Dirt fragrance oil.....I had no idea.


So I created some small candles and made a soap for my neighbors son. She said he loves the soap and refuses to wash in anything else. LOL As for the candles I shipped one out to my friend Tara and she too is now hooked on dirt! Who would have thought that I would be turning folks onto DIRT! LOL

I also found a FO (fragrance oil) for Pinesol,, Gain, Downy, Dove Soap and Tide! How amazing is that. I have had some people request Reed Diffusers in Tide and Gain...just so their house would have that fresh laundry smell. I am thinking of creating a Pinesol candle for my bathroom, although I wish I could find a FO that smelled like bleach. Now that would be AWESOME! LOL

I am always on a quest to find new and different FO's out there. I think I have now become obsessed with FO's. Now even though I am limiting my line to five fragrances, if there is something you would like specifically then let me know and I will see what I can do for you. One of my favorite fragrances that I created was Sangria. Now there are other people who already have a pre blended Sangria fragrances, but this one I created myself. After some playing around, I created the perfect blend. And oh how perfect it is.....I mean it really smells like Sangria! I made a candle for my friend Dott and she said she is getting drunk off of it. LOL

My newest FO's that I am soo excited to create new things with are my Liquor FO's. So besides Sangria, I now have Southern Comfort, Apple Martini, Cosmopolitan, Margarita, Champagne, White Wine & Coconut Rum. I have an awesome idea that I am working on for the liquor FO's. I am really excited to see how they turn out. Once I get the basics of my idea down pack I will share them with you all. But just know that its really really HOTT.
